Dr. Zubayer Ahmed graduated from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College in 1998 with Merit Award from Chittagong University and then obtained MD in Internal Medicine from BSMMU in 2006. He got Advanced Subspecialty Training and Clinical Fellowship in Rheumatology and Immunological disorders from Post Graduate Medical Institute of Singapore General Hospital in 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Julian Thumboo and Prof. Feng Pao Hsii. He is also trained in management of childhood arthritis from Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, India. 

He is currently working as Consultant of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in Square Hospitals Ltd. In addition to management of patients of Internal Medicine, he runs a dedicated Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology service in Square. Provided clinical service includes General Rheumatology with special interests in Connective Tissue Disorders, Rheumatoid Arthritis, SLE, Crystal-induced arthritis (Gout & Pseudo-Gout), Degenerative arthritis, Use of biologic agents in severe arthritis and admitted patient management. 

Dr. Zubayer has an extensive training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases from BSMMU – Dept of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is also trained in Rheumatology with Prof. Pierson of St. Thomas Hospital and Queens Hospital, London.
